As an introvert, I am very withholding and self-contained. Through my work, I strive to reinvent myself while simultaneously revealing some of my innermost attributes through satirical imagery and juxtaposing subject matter. I am revealing myself both physically and psychologically, symbolically and realistically.

I symbolically paint myself as an octopus while allowing the scenery to reveal more about myself through the location and the addition of objects of personal interest. I give my work a tangible quality to create absurd and humorous situations which further illustrates my character, as I oftentimes use humor as a defense mechanism to mask my discomfort and anxiety and displace my own internal tensions.
